James has a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs & Policy from RSMAS, University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Miami. James has over a decade experience in local government planning and administration with over 15 years experience with ecosystem preservation projects; incorporating developer, builder, government, and environmental ideals.
His many accomplishments include: Serving as Assistant City Manager for the Village of Key Biscayne, Assistant City Manager and Interim City Manager for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, and Assistant City Manager and City Manager for the City of Marathon. James has been involved with the creation and management of numerous municipal divisions including: Parks & Recreation, Public Works, and Building, Zoning & Planning Departments. |
Cathy has over 30 years experience working in both the private and public sectors in administration, financial management, professional project management, and consulting. Cathy served as a City Administrator for over five (5) years and over the past seven (7) plus years has acted as a Municipal Consultant as well as served directly as District Manager for over 30 Independent Special Taxing Districts, with administrative supervision over 150 Districts.
Cathy has her Bachelors Degree in Experimental Psychology with a minor in Mathematics, including graduate courses toward her Doctoral Degree in Qualitative/Quantitative Analysis. She served as an Instructor at Broward Community College in Resource Requirements Planning, Forecasting, and Master Scheduling philosophy and techniques.
